Program 05-22 Arts Friday on Eastside Radio: 080422

No time to Spare is the title of an annual exhibition that was started in 1961 by the Women’s Committee, and commissioned by Max Dupain at the David Jones Art Gallery.  The exhibition featured 34 buildings identified in the National Heritage Trust’s category of A items worthy of preservation. The aim of the 60th anniversary exhibition is to focus the publics attention to the fate of our heritage and inspire conversation about the future. What do we want our world to be like, how do we tell ours stories, what will we pass on to the next generation? Jill Auld, from the National Trust’s Women’s Committee, and oral archivist provides us with insight. The exhibition is currently at the Leichhardt Library and then tours regionally.
