Program 14-22 Arts Friday on Eastside Radio

The Darlinghurst Road Gallery for emerging Australian artists opens with Jake Moss, an artist from Queensland. Up Close, from a Distance is a solo exhibition of new work using a variation of mediums that reflect memories of living spaces growing-up. Reconfiguration is Denis Clarke’s latest exhibition at the Stanley Street Gallery. It explores the changing subjectivities of the artist’s gaze within the language of the figure as he explains. Open Channels is Kate Mitchell’s latest work presented at Chalk Horse. The video work sets about providing a vision of an escape route from the relentless path we are on through investigations in to psychic phenomena. The Beatnik Cathedral at the Addi Road Community Centre will be host to Intuition Kingdom, a night of music, poetry, conversation and improvised performance. Award wining poet and critic Felicity Plunkett talks us through what we can expect.

Produced and presented by Angela Stretch.
