Program 23-22 Arts Friday on Eastside Radio

Before the age of web fiction and e-readers, the history of the written word in China dates back over 4000 years. Shuo Shu, or the art of storytelling is the summer exhibition at White Rabbit Gallery. The art form has become a dying tradition with contemporary Chinese audiences turning their attention to digital content. Assistant Curator at White Rabbit Gallery, Meng Yu Chan, provides us insight. Sydney based artist Sonia Mattson talks about her latest project, which is a culmination of portraiture of people and places.  The Blue Series and Other Art Paintings exhibition is on at the Arthouse HotelMentalism is an exhibition at the Darlinghurst Road Gallery, by Christophe Domergue.  It the latest iteration of his goal to highlight the beauty of outsiders, both people and places, that don’t meet traditional societal standards and expectations.  We hear from him on matters of life, times and art.

Arts Friday acknowledge the custodians of the Gadigal lands from which the program has been produced and broadcasts from at Eastside Radio.
